There are plenty of changes afoot in Brixton Village at the moment, but one really caught our eye. It's the new opening from Brian Danclair, founder of Fish, Wings & Tings one of Brixton's best restaurants.
This new restaurant Danclair's is inspired by his grandmother Valentina, whose face will adorn a giant mural that you'll see when you first head inside the restaurant. It's early days on what to expect from the menu, but we're told it will take its inspiration from across the Caribbean, Latin America, and Europe. Dishes coming to the menu include BBQ pork ribs, empanadas with raisins and olives and marinated grilled King prawns with tamarind sauce.
As Brian told Soca News "It is based on where I want to be and brings together my culinary journeys of cooking in Washington DC, cooking here and specialising in Provençal cuisine and other types of cuisine like Latin American and Caribbean. The plan is to fuse all of these together to create some small plate dishes with really good drinks ‑ a kind of fusion tapas!"
We'll add more info as we get it.
