Public service announcement time...
It's been a long time coming but the majestic Max's Sandwich Shop is making a comeback. Yes, there's been the (still available) ham, egg and chips burger from Patty & Bun, the amazing picnic book and the Comme Des Garcons jacket - but nothing is anywhere near as good as the real thing which has been closed since the start of the very first lockdown.
"We’ll open with the exact same menu we had the week we closed, on March 15th 2020," Max told Hot Dinners. "So it’s as much as possible, just like it was back in the day, before the world went mad."
So - from this Wednesday, the Crouch Hill sandwich shop will be opening its doors. You can once again feast on the Ham, egg 'n' chips sarnie or a personal favourite, the Et Tu Brute, murdering the Caesar (confit guinea fowl, pickled grape and tarragon salsa, baby gem, parsley, garlic croutons and anchovy mayo). Or indeed the wonderful crushed potatoes.
All these can be yours once again.
