Over in Chelsea, Sloane Square has been taken over by not one but two neighbouring restaurants, keen to make the most of the alfresco space.
First up there's Colbert which has brought back its Petanque in the Square pop up for the summer. They'll be serving drinks and crepes - starting with a partnership with Lillet and following that up with a Tanqueray pop up later in the summer.
We popped down the other night to check it out and it's a lovely space. The crepe stall is sending out a selection of sweet and savoury crepes - the strawberries and cream was probably our favourite - along with two 'plats' of charcuterie and fromage. And if you're opting for cocktails, the Lillet Pamplemousse Spritz with grapefruit juice, honey, rose water and a top of Crémant was gorgeous.
Across the square, you'll find another summer pop up. Pizza on the Square is a collaboration between The Botanist Sloane Square and Casamigos Tequila and Mezcal. The 85-person alfresco dining terrace will serve up woodfired pizzas alongside tequila cocktails from the Casamigos bar (which we first encountered at Smoked and Uncut the summer before last and can heartily recommend).
Pizzas include a Garlic and Mushroom White Pizza and vegetarian Caponata pizza along with dishes like Butternut squash and Caesar Salad.
