With alfresco spaces in London being a premium right now, you can count on us to bring you news of any new places opening. And the new roof venue at The Standard hotel in King's Cross sounds (and looks) worth checking out.
The Standard Rooftop is the hotel's latest space to launch and they say the aim of the 11th-floor bar - just upstairs from their Decimo restaurant - is to bring "the vibe of New York’s iconic rooftop bars to London."
They might be aiming for a Big Apple vibe, but the view is ALL London with an oh-so-Instagrammable backdrop of St Pancras's clock tower at eye level up here. For refreshments, there'll be various bars serving up bottled cocktails made by The Standard’s head bartender Eder Neto, and food will be supplied via a New York-style hot dog cart serving The Standard’s classic hot dogs with some new editions.
