The Dorchester has unveiled its alfresco plans for London's grand reopening next month and they include the arrival of a brand new roof garden. It's the first time the hotel has expanded its outdoor plans to its roof and the space will play host to a variety of pop-ups hosted by the hotel's various chefs, from executive chef Mario Perera to The Grill at The Dorchester's Tom Booton and Jean-Philippe Blondet from the three Michelin-starred Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester.
It should have pretty amazing views across this part of town and they're bringing in terrace umbrellas, heaters and blankets to ward off any spring chills.
Elsewhere in the hotel, the entrance where you'd more normally spot the odd Lamborghini or three will become a garden terrace with seven tables for two serving cocktails and bar bites from the hotel's bar. Handily for those who aren't organised enough to book places well ahead, this will be for walk-ins only.
And finally, in the Spring Garden there'll be two private garden globes seating up to five guests each for a private dining experience in partnership with Veuve Clicquot. The three-course menu is all about the best of British with dishes including Scottish Diver scallops ceviche and blue lobster & Wye Valley asparagus.
