Who doesn't love baked goods that also do good? London Bakers against Racism are gearing up to hold their biggest virtual bake sale yet at the end of March. They'll be raising money for The Black Curriculum - a social enterprise set up to address the lack of Black British history in school curriculums.
As before, bakers and cafes who are taking part donate baked goods which are sold online through the @londonbakersagainstracism Instagram account. You can then pick up your lovely cakes at four bakery 'hubs' around London on Sunday 28 March. Those will be:
- The Hearth in North West London
- Esters in North East London
- Brown and Green in South East London
- Lockdown Bakehouse in South West London
Bakers taking part this year include Nia Burr from Esters, Maxine Monu from Den Bakeshop and Oliver Costello from Ottolenghi while The Good Egg are also supplying special bakes. We also hear that top Instagrammer Felicity Spector is whipping up some spectacular sounding salted halva blondies (pictured) that'll be worth trying to get your hands on.
