News reaches us of a new development from the people behind Lagom, the British/Swedish smoking kings that you'll have seen serving up smoked meats and lots more at Hackney Church Brewery. Now, according to their Instagram feed, they've just opened a brand new pizza restaurant in London Fields (something they had been trialling in Clapton late last year).
They've taken over the space that was once the great Bong Bong's Manila Kanteen. On the menu are the standard Margherita and Marinara, as well as:
- Ragout - fior de latte, tomato, basil, jalapeno, cheddar
- Anchovy - Hispi cabbage, chilli and anchovy
- Curried cream base, smoked mackerel, red onion, chilli, parmesan, soft egg
- And specials like the oven-roasted butternut squash, goat's cheese, red onion and walnuts.
And it's apparently not just pizza, judging by this pork shoulder, which certainly looks the business.
It looks well worth checking out if you're in the area. They are open for takeaway only right now and they tell us that delivery is coming soon, we'll let you know when that happens.
