If you've had a craving for Filthy Buns burgers in Dalston, then you'll be pleased to know that not only are the burger slingers back and delivering - but they're also serving from a brand new hatch at the Three Compasses.
The new menu has eight meat buns and seven plant-based - so there's a big selection on offer and there are brand new burgers too:
- Lockdown Millionaire - their signature burger, has been given a revamp for Lockdown 3.0. It's a 30-day dry-aged native breed beef patty, topped with smoked streaky bacon (instead of braised short rib) and includes swiss cheese, smokey gravy mayo, pickled shallots, and homemade Lotus Biscoffy peanut butter before being finished with a caramelised biscoff biscuit.
- Blue Noir - 30-day dry-aged native breed beef patty, Cropwell Bishop Stilton, crispy black pudding Ginger Pig, habanero chilli jam and smoked gravy mayo.
- Chicken Ringer - cispy coated pickled chicken thigh, hash brown, punchy red pepper and chilli ketchup, miso mayo, baby gem lettuce (and there's a vegan version too)
- Smokin Vegun - a plant-based patty, crispy “bacun”, Bourbon BBQ sauce and crispy onions.
On top of that, they'll have crispy skin-on jerk spiced fries and ice cream sandwiches from Happy Endings. All this comes from Filthy Buns founder John Gladwell who's only just recovered from a broken collarbone. As John explains: "whilst we can’t open the doors to the pub right now - we can open our kitchen and the pub window and serve our buns straight from our filthy hatch at The Three Compasses in Dalston as well as deliver to local burger fans."
