Summing it all up: Instagram fave Bubblewrap are unveiling a new store, this time in the heart of Covent Garden. Expect all the popular flavours and some special exclusives for the new store too.
The low-down
It's already one of the most popular places in Chinatown - there's always a queue when we walk past - and now Bubblewrap are expanding. This time they're heading down the road, into Covent Garden and taking up a new spot in the main Market Building.
If you're unfamiliar with them, they specialise in huge Hong Kong-style egg waffles (traditional or matcha) topped (or slightly wrapped around) a huge array of toppings. So there are creations like Oreo Crunch (with strawberry cheesecake gelato, oreo and salted caramel) or Banana Combo (bananas, dark chocolate gelato, condensed milk).
Of course, they all look amazing making them very Insta-friendly. With that in mind, the new store has an exclusive waffle. It's the Rose & Strawberry Blossom; a limited edition rose-infused waffle filled with Alphonso mango sorbet and topped with a fresh strawberry and dried rose petal - all designed to look like a blossoming flower. That goes on sale for a limited time on 13 September.
The new space seats only six inside (and more outside) but it's really more of a grab-and-go dessert. We think this will be just as popular - if not more so - as the original.
