Opening its doors in Camden tonight is new bar Crossroads. It sees husband and wife team Bart and Monica Miedeksza taking over the Ladies & Gentleman Bar in Camden. The bar will still be owned by L&G's William Borrell, but run by Bart and Monica.
Lockdown gave the team a chance to give the bar a new look and, when it reopens tonight, it'll focus on both cocktails and wine.
Bart previously managed High Water in Dalston and was Vestal Vodka’s International Brand Ambassador - so he's in charge of the cocktails. Those will use home-made and locally sourced ingredients like black pepper shrub, cherry-infused whisky and bay leaf cordial. He says he's hoping for "customers who relish foraged ingredients and seasonal recipes".
Meanwhile, Monica, who was previously assistant sommelier at The Typing Room and a manager at Vagabond Wines will be running the wine list. "Our list will support small and independent producers of wines and spirits with a focus on terroir," she says.
There'll also be their own homemade pickles to go with the drinks.
