Bar Swift is coming to Shoreditch

Swift Shoreditch

Their Soho venue has been closed throughout the lockdown but now that Bar Swift (ranked 41 on the 50 Best Bars in the World list last year) are back, they're already getting ready to open a second bar in Shoreditch (where Floripa used to be).

This venue will be an all-day affair, opening at 8am on weekdays. Of course, you won't be able to pick up a cocktail then, so they'll shift to coffee and brunch dishes in the mornings. There will be Neal's Yard toasties and dishes that include "Wild Mushrooms, Parmesan and Egg Yolk on St John’s Sourdough" and "Sauternes Soaked Peaches and Raspberries with Mascarpone on Waffles". All of which sounds very good.

Of course, the main attraction will be the evening cocktails in a bar that's aiming to recapture the spirit of the original. So there will be banquette seating throughout and an overall art deco feel. Actual details of any new cocktails themselves are still to come - but expect a similar list to the original, which features drinks like their take on the Irish Coffee (Jameson Caskmates, demerara sweetened filter coffee, Float of chilled hand-whipped cream, Grating of fresh nutmeg) and the Sgroppino (Lemon sorbet, prosecco, Italicus).

And the original is coming back too - that reopens on 4 July.
