The same team who recently brought us Catford Mews culture centre in Lewisham, are now setting their sights on Bermondsey. The Really Local Group's next venture is The Blue - an all-day community space.
The project sees the Really Local Group take over the old Thorowgoods furniture shop, bringing a three-screen cinema to the area along with a coffee shop, a café, bar, co-working and a food and craft hall featuring local artisans and vendors.
It's a very similar take to what they did in Catford, where they took over an old Poundland shop - and pretty much transformed it (see pic below), bringing in Brockley Brewery for the bar and local traders to serve up a variety of Jamaican, Japanese and Scandi-vegan food.
