The low-down
Folks returning to work after the holidays in Maida Vale may have noticed a new restaurant. Tokyo Pizza opened their doors pretty quietly over the Christmas holidays.
The Japanese pizza and sake bar, which has taken over the space formerly occupied by the Bombay Bicycle Club, serves up pizzas made with their own original Japanese blended flour and using Japanese ingredients.
There's no menu online as yet but dishes we've been told you can expect include:
- Smoked salmon pizza with truffle ponzu sauce
- Wagyu harumaki (spring rolls)
- Avocado salad with a spicy yuzu sauce
As for the drinks list, they're serving up a full sake selection from across Japan along with other Japanese premium spirits and whiskeys.
