Ready or not, we're starting to gear up for Christmas (and once 5 November is passed, be prepared for a deluge of Christmas fare). One very popular event that's back is also one of the kitschiest - the Miracle pop-up bar is coming back to the Henrietta Hotel in Covent Garden.
They're popular across the States, but once again, The Henrietta is hosting the only UK pop-up. So you can expect a LOT of Christmas ornaments with a very 70s feel. This will not be in any way subtle.
And the mad Christmas vibe continues to the drinks, many of which are very Christmas tiki in approach. They include:
- Snowball Old Fashioned (Butterscotch Rye, Spiced Demerara, Wormwood Bitters, Orange Zest),
- Christmapolitan (Vodka, Elderflower, Dry Vermouth, Spiced Cranberry Sauce, Rosemary, Lime, Absinthe Mist)
- And A Partridge In A Pear Tree (Reposado Tequila, Pear Brandy, Mezcal, Spiced Demerara Syrup, Lime, Egg White, Club Soda, Angostura Bitters, Cinnamon)
Snacks include Ibaiama Saucisson, chicken Popcorn and deep-fried baby squid with espelette pepper. So if you want to kickstart the Christmas spirit as early as possible - head here in November.
