Isn't it always the way. You wait for a matcha bar to open and two come along at once.
Already open is a popup matcha bar. OHH CHA BAR (pictured above) is currently serving up matcha and snacks at MUJI’s Tottenham Court Road store for two weeks.
Their menu features classic matcha blends, single cultivar selections as well as unusual loose leaf Japanese teas. And they'll be holding masterclasses so you can more easily whisk yourself up a cuppa at home.
Across town in Chelsea and opening today is MATCHA AND BEYOND (pictured below). Here is where French chef Olivia Nottin is going crazy for all things Matcha. The drinks menu allows Chelsea folk to order their favourite Matcha drink like they would in a coffee house - so choose between a really high grade Matcha shot with added water or a variety of milk-based drinks like cortado, flat green Matchachino and latte made with a premium grade Matcha.
The Matcha theme extends to the food menu here where there'll be Matcha Energy Balls, Financiers, Green Velvet Cake or Matcha and Vanilla Marble Cake.
