What: Maître Choux
In a nutshell: High-end pastry chain
Summing it all up: Don’t be distracted by its ‘grammable flower tunnel and croquembouche tower - it’s the gorgeous French eclairs, choux and chouquettes you’ll be wanting to focus on at this new branch of Maître Choux.
The low-down
Lovers of buttery, crispy, airy choux pastry (which is everyone, we assume) can now get their fix in Chelsea when Maître Choux opens their fourth, largest store there this autumn.
The new venue, which is just down the road from the Saatchi, will have space for 15 to sit in and enjoy their elegantly-decorated French eclairs, choux and chouquettes - perfect for a cultural pitstop. Monmouth Coffee will be on hand for an afternoon pick-me-up.
It should be especially visually rewarding, as aside from their gorgeous baked goods (do have a look at their Insta), we’ve heard they'll be decking it out with a flower tunnel and a rather exciting-sounding ‘croquembouche choux tower’ in the window.
If you’ve not yet encountered the joys of Maître Choux, the main thing to know is that it’s the brainchild of three-starred Michelin chef Joakim Prat, who decided to branch out from serving up his pastry creations to diners by bringing them to the streets of Soho, Piccadilly, Kensington, and as of this summer, Westfield.
