Good news for fans of Flesh & Buns. After a brief closure, the Covent Garden-based Japanese izakaya restaurant is due to reopen with a snazzy new interior, a newly expanded bar, and most excitingly, a new party menu for large groups.
The restaurant, which gained quite the following when it started selling its steamed gua bao buns four years ago, will have a freshly expanded bar space. This means that there'll be room for 10 more to grab a perch at the counter, where they can try Flesh & Buns' Frozen Yuzu Margaritas or range of sakes, while tucking into the sharing menu. It’ll have space for walk ins as well as reservations.
Meanwhile, their new ‘Party Flesh’ menu, designed for groups of six plus, has a couple of fab sounding additions. We definitely like the sound of the roast suckling pig or the braised lamb shoulder with kimchee, and it all comes with a range of sauces and pickles to share round the table. Definitely one to book in advance for your next party.
