There's change a-coming to St John Bread and Wine in Spitalfields. When it opened 10 years ago, it was originally the space where the St John group produced all their baked goodness, but that's all since moved over to their Druid/Maltby Street building. So they've decided to have a little bit of a revamp.
If you're familiar with the layout - here's what's happening. The kitchen is moving over to the space that once held the bakery (which means a bigger kitchen) and the kitchen space is becoming a brand new bar. So when you visit you'll have a lovely new dedicated zinc bar for wines and snacks. There will still be the all-French wine list, a revamped beer offering, curated by Melissa Cole, and you can dine up there or just grab a drink.
The menu will still change regularly - but also expect some new dishes for breakfast that Fergus Henderson and Head Chef Arnold Hoeksma have been working on.
The revamped St John Bread and Wine opens at 12pm on 23 July 2016 at 94-96 Commercial St, London E1 6LZ. For more, follow them on Twitter @StJBW.
