Fresh from becoming the joint winner of 2012's MasterChef - the Professionals in December, Keri Moss is just about to open her first restaurant, the Corner Room and Champagne Bar in Selfridges.
On the second floor of the store, it's set in an art deco space that will have views across Oxford Street. The Corner Restaurant will have a seasonal British menu, with a few dishes that will be familiar to anyone who watched her on the show. These will include mackerel tartare crisp poached quails eggs, apple, pancetta wafers and for dessert goats cheese parfait, blackberry puree, pear salad and candied quinoa. On Sundays, there will also be a brunch menu offering brioche French toast with maple syrup, Rookery Farm free range eggs, and sourdough toast with either Bottisham smoked salmon or cured bacon.
There will also be an afternoon tea menu with weekly changing, seasonal cakes including black cherry and almond cake, white chocolate and passion fruit ripple or blood orange and polenta cake.
As befitting the name, the bar will focus on champagne and wine - but also have a seasonal cocktail list alongside a bar food menu including salt cod quails eggs, truffle chips, and a British cheese board
The Corner Restaurant and Champagne Bar will open at the Women's Designer Galleries, Selfridges London, 400 Oxford Street, London, W1A 1AB on March 19. Call 0207 318 3898 to book or follow them on @TheCornerW1.
