It's not often we see a high street conveyer belt sushi chain taking on afternoon tea in upmarket department stores, but now Yo! Sushi has plans to do just that.
They'll be reimagining the traditional cream tea dinner with a lot less cream and a lot more fish - sashimi, seared sushi and tempura nori nachos will all make an appearance, plus salmon caviar draped in edible gold "for that extra Christmas sparkle."
Sweet treats will be of the Japanese bakery variety, so expect the likes matcha-flavoured brownies and red bean cheesecake dorayaki.
Of course, if you're in Selfridges at this time of the year, you're most likely in dire need of refreshment. You can either opt for a few glasses of Champagne, sparkling sake, or Jasmine silver needle tea.
If you'd like to try the pop-up, you'll be able to book your spot in advance - ideal for well-organised Christmas shoppers - but there will be space for some walk-ins too.
