The Sportsman tops the list at the National Restaurant Awards

The list of the best restaurants in the UK has been revealed and many will be VERY pleased to see that The Sportsman is at the top of the pile. If you've only experienced their food at London's Noble Rot, then you owe yourself to get on the phone now and book yourself a table before everyone else does. 

But if you;re not heading out of town, there are plenty of awards for London restaurants, with Som Saa, Social Eating House, Noble Rot, Hoppers, River Cafe, Piquet, Clove Club and Barrafina all being called out for special awards. And the very-well-deserved-indeed award goes to Pierre Koffmann, who gets a lifetime achievement.
