SL28 in Holloway is London's first members-only coffee bar

sl28

A new coffee house in London is making headlines and it's not because of its quality of its crema. SL28 - named after a Kenyan variety of coffee - is causing a stir because it's London's first members-only coffee bar. Entry is restricted to employees working in the Net.Works office that SL28 is situated in - but you can also buy monthly membership for £10. What that gets you is three coffees a month - and the door opened to you when you knock, presumably.

As to why you would pay to be a member - from what we can glean from those who've been, this is a very special space with beautiful design and very good coffee indeed in the form of three Scandi coffee brands Koppi, Solde, and Drop.

Food-wise, there's pastries, sarnies and salads to be enjoyed.

SL28 is at Net.Works, 25-27 Horsell Road, N5 1XL. Opening hours are Monday-Friday 8am to 6pm. Keep up with their news on Twitter @networkslondon
