Richard Corrigan and Galvin Bros to launch restaurants in Harrods

richard corriganMassive news over at Harrods today as the iconic Knightsbridge store scores a huge coup in getting three great chefs to join them.

The first new face is Richard Corrigan who will take over the Sea Grill in Harrod's Meat & Fish Hall and turn it into an outpost of his Piccadilly restuarant Bentley's. There'll be a crustacean bar, seafood cocktails and pies and the decor of the original Bentley's will be recreated on site at Harrods.

Joining Corrigan will be Chris and Jeff Galvin who'll be launching Galvin Demoiselle in the Food Halls. This is the fifth London restaurant the brothers have opened (they also have Galvin Bistro de Luxe on Baker Street, Galvin at Windows in the Park Lane Hilton and Galvin La Chapelle and Cafe a Vin in Spitalfields).

The Galvins' Harrods restaurant will see Chris's wife Sara Galvin take on the role of patron - the concept of the bistro-style eaterie is her vision. Galvin Demoiselle will overlook the Food Halls and serve up dishes like confit pork cheeks, tarte tatin and a baked lobster fishcake.

Galvin Demoiselle will open in March 2012 and Bentley's Sea Grill will open in May 2012.
