Polpo's next restaurant is coming to Chelsea

Polpo's next restaurant is coming to Chelsea

After going west to Notting Hill, Russell Norman and Richard Beatty's Polpo is staying west for their next restaurant, which will open in May on Duke of York Square, just off King's Road.

While it'll have the same stripped back look of the other Polpo's Norman says it will "will feel closer to Venice than any restaurant we have opened yet" because of the huge outdoor space available to them. So expect it to be a very handy alfresco destination in Chelsea as Summer really hits. It'll be open all day and promised for the menu is:

  • A selection of cicheti including Fried stuffed olives; Arancini; and Chopped chicken liver crostini (from £3).
  • Bigger dishes including Fritto misto; Pizzetta bianca; Spicy pork and fennel meatballs; and Sliced flank steak (from £4).
  • Desserts including Affogato al caffe; Gelato cone; Flourless chocolate and hazelnut cake; and Tiramisu pot (from £4).

Drinks-wise, expect plenty of Aperol and Campari cocktails and an exclusively Italian wine list.

Polpo Chelsea is now open at 81 Duke of York Square, London SW3 4LY. For more news, follow them on Twitter @polpo
