Big things are afoot in Finsbury Square, where’s it's just been unveiled that there’ll be a new multi-million development calling itself the ‘department store of dining’.

Imagine an all-under-one-roof experience. The Kitty Hawk, courtesy of Wright and Bell, will be open from 7am until midnight and is intended to cater to just about every kind of food and drink need there is.

“We’re bringing together a dynamic mix of drinking, dining, working and retail experiences,” says Jayne Baker, MD of the venture.

For professionals, there’ll be space to work remotely and have business meetings, while those looking to kick back can enjoy boozy champagne brunches and evening meals.

A coffee bar and patisserie will serve breakfast and lunches, including takeaway options. In the evening, it’ll double as an evening winebar with curated menus depending on where you’re drinking. There’ll also be craft ales and cocktails made with artisanal spirits, which you can soak up with some freshly-baked flatbreads.

It’ll be a highly stylised space, boasting “meticulous attention to every detail”, and will have more exposed timber, steel and concrete than you can shake a stick at.

If all goes well, you can expect a further five Kitty Hawks throughout the City and the West End in the future.

The Kitty Hawk will open on 21 November 2016 at 11 South Place, EC2M 7EB. Open from 7am - midnight. Keep up with their news on Twitter @KittyHawkLdn
