Here’s one for the next time you win the lottery. Knightsbridge's luxer-than-luxe 5* hotel The Berkeley has just unveiled its brand new, sweeping-skyline-views-glass-roofed Pavilion Suites. And if you’re in such a ritzy room, it’d surely be a shame to leave it simply to acquire your evening meal, so why not choose room service, now available from none other than Michelin-starred celeb chef Marcus Wareing.
The chef patron of Marcus, and head of the Gilbert Scott will be on hand with his team to offer private catering for the well-to-do guests of the luxury suites as part of the hotel’s “Signature Service”. There aren't many hotels where you can enjoy private catering from such a big name chef and his team. Which sounds a bit of all right, if you ask us.
As for the menu, we’re expecting seasonal, contemporary British cuisine in a similar vein to Marcus’ restaurant of the same name which lives on the ground floor of the hotel.
However, if that’s not luxe enough for you, you can even ask for one of the legendary Blue Bar’s mixologist to pop up to mix you up a dry martini from safely within the confines of your luxury suite - just the job for taking in the refined views of leafy Belgravia and Knightsbridge from your private, luxury terrace.
