In Italy, Giovanni Rana is the face of fresh pasta, a chef who made a name for himself with a groundbreaking ad campaign in the 1980s. He has 24 restaurants in Italy including spots in Rome and Milan and now he's coming to London.
According to a note on the website, Da Giovanni was supposed to open on Triton Street, just off the Euston Road, in July, but we now hear that's going to be closer to September. What you can expect will be plenty of pasta and a bit of pizza too in a bright, airy space with an open kitchen.
