Been up to the third floor of House of Fraser recently? If you have, you might have noticed a new addition in the form of Evans & Blanc, an art deco-themed Champagne bar and restaurant kitted out with plenty of gins, fizz and cocktails, plus seasonal dining.
Here’s some of the food you can expect:
- Chicken mac and cheese with smoked cheddar
- E&B Reuben Sandwich with Russian sauce and skinny fries
- King prawn & Exmouth mussel linguine
- Pomegranate and clementine pudding
If you’re not up for a full meal, there are a handful of sharing plates up for grabs too, including halloumi fries, fried ravioli, and a Louisiana king prawn open sandwich, as well as sharing platters and afternoon tea.
Meanwhile on the fizz front, you’ll have plenty of options, from a £28 bottle of Prosecco through to a £82 Laurent-Perrier Rose. Or you can go for something a touch stronger, like a Breakfast Martini - yes, it is a thing - or one of their many combos of gins and posh tonics.
There’ll be space for 138, which is good to know as it sounds rather lovely, complete with bronze table tops, marble and little art deco flourishes all over.
