chouxbunsThese little balls of cheesy goodness are our first must-have bar snack of 2015. They're the Comte choux buns currently being served up weekday evenings at the Lodge d'Argent. That's the Alpine-dressed terraces at restaurant Coq d'Argent in the City.

Other snacks on Head Chef Damien Rigollet's bar menu include Chestnut buttermilk fried chicken & chips (£9.50), Savoyarde fondue (£8) and Raclette gratin with ratte potatoes, Alpine dry cured ham (£10). Pair them with a Hennessy cocktail or two and the woes of January will soon seem like paltry concerns indeed.

Lodge d'Argent runs until the end of February 2015. The bar snacks menu is on offer Monday to Friday from 5pm to 10pm.
