We're all for a seasonally-focused menu. What's the deal with this?
As spring rolls into early summer, the British larder really comes into its own with amazing seasonal produce hitting London's restaurants. At Harvey Nichols, the chefs have put together a new three-course menu that celebrates that seasonal bounty.
What sort of dishes are we talking about?
The menu is different at each of the restaurants. So at OXO Tower, you can enjoy truffle burrata with pea and white asparagus or a layered honey sponge cake topped with lavender cream. At the Fifth Floor Café, you could start with a spiced crab bisque served with white crab and foccacia or tuck into a main of lamb rump with petit pois à la française and a lamb jus.
And there's a drink element too?
Yes, they've teamed up with the makers of Mijenta Tequila, an award-winning sustainable tequila that comes from the highlands of Jalisco in Mexico. Choose between a Tommy's Margarita or a Mijenta Paloma.
What about if the weather's good?
Both the Fifth Floor Café and the OXO Tower Restaurant have excellent terraces, making them perfect places to enjoy this set menu when the sun is out.
What's the price?
Whether you're in Knightsbridge at the Fifth Floor Café or overlooking the river at OXO Tower Restaurant this spring set menu is a bargain at three courses for £35 at OXO or £39 in Knightsbridge, which includes your cocktail.
