National Burger Day is upon us once more - Thursday 22 August 2024. As you might expect, it's inspired several London restaurants to turn out burger specials for the occasion. Here's what is planned for this year's festivities.
National Burger Day specials
Black Bear Burger's Peppercorn Steak Burger
This year's National Burger Day special from Black Bear Burger is a dry-aged beef burger with peppercorn sauce, crispy shallots, onion, garlic mayo. "We’ve taken elements of a Steak au Poivre and incorporated it in a burger," says founder Stew Down.
Bleecker's Nacho Burger
The Nacho Burger is Bleecker's one-day-only Burger Day special. It features a Bleecker beef patty, American cheese and house sauce, topped with Tortilla's guacamole, pickled onions and pico de gallo salsa. It'll be available in limited quantities at all Bleecker locations.
Holborn Dining Room's Burger Pie
Nokx Majozi, Head Pie Maker at Holborn Dining Room is putting on a special pie from 20-22 August. The pie includes two beef patties Applewood smoked cheese and cheddar slices, homemade tomato sauce, caramelised onions and gherkins.
Neat's Nacho Chick'n Crunch Burger
Vegan burger slinger Neat are putting on a limited edition special, the Nacho Chick’n Crunch by Tajín. On till 31 August, it features a crispy chick’n patty tossed in Chamoy sauce and served with chopped romaine lettuce, tomato, red onion, avocado and a tortilla crunch (tortillas seasoned with Tajín). The burger will be topped with a Mexican mayo sauce made with mayo, Chamoy, and Tajín Clásico seasoning, and will be served with a pot of warm cheez sauce for dipping or pouring.
HG Walter x No Drama Smashburger Box
East Acton burger joint No Drama has joined forces with butcher HG Walter for a limited edition burger kit to tie in with National Burger Day. On sale from 22 August till 2 September the Smashburger box features everything you need for a burger night for four including the aged beef patties, streaky bacon, No Drama burger sauce and all the trimmings.

Manna (Battersea) - They're giving away 300 burgers and 300 cans of Drip water at their Battersea burger van from 12-2pm.
Honest Burgers (various locations) - They'll have 20% off some burgers from 22-26 August for delivery on Uber Eats.
Patty&Bun (Various locations) - They'll have the month's special burger, the Usain Melt, at £9.58 all day.
Shake Shack are doing a BOGOF deal for National Burger Day. Buy one burger and get the second one absolutely free. Runs all day on National Burger Day.
Peckish Burgers in Camden are giving away all their profits on the day to City Kids Surfing charity. They're also doing all burgers at a special discounted rate.
Hard Rock Cafe is letting all kids eat for free on National Burger Day when an adult orders from the limited-edition World Burger Tour menu.
