Two weeks ahead of the announcement of this year's World's 50 Best Restaurants list comes the release of the lower part of the list. Managing to get your restaurant into Numbers 51-100 is still a massive achievement of course and this year London has five restaurants in this section.
It's great news in particular for Soho restaurant Mountain which is a brand new entry this year, coming in at 94. Other London restaurants have seen their rankings slip slightly (last year's position in brackets below).
- 65. Brat (53)
- 87. Lyles (86)
- 97. Core by Clare Smyth (71)
But probably the restaurant that'll be most disappointed by today's reveal is The Clove Club which has slipped out of the Top 50. Last year it was no 38. This year it's down at 80.
On the upside, two of the restaurants that were in the Top 50 last year - Kol and Ikoyi - aren't listed which means they should be relatively hopeful of staying in the Top 50 for 2024.
