A new bar is coming to Hackney, taking the space that was once Silver Lining (and very briefly House of Hades). You Call the Shots comes from the same team as The Prince Arthur in London Fields and The Plough in Homerton (Emma Piggott and Jonathan Mercer) but this will be a little different to those pubs.
The plan is for the bar to be a host for residencies from both established and up-and-coming chefs, where they can create their " their version of drinking food". On the drinks front, they're promising high-end cocktails, brilliant beers and an epic wine list. The food is yet to be announced, but they ran a preview of what to expect during the summer, with collabs including Mystic Burek’s Spasia Dinkovski's new concept, Pasta Slut, Ginn Khao and more. Expect residencies to be announced in the next few weeks.
About the Hackney opening, the team says, "To celebrate our five years of our sites, we wanted to bring back some of our favourite past collabs and give our pals a chance to shine. That's the essence of You Call the Shots - it's all up to you."
