Popular Covent Garden restaurant Tandoor Chop House is expanding, opening in Notting Hill this week. The restaurant, which is owned by Ennismore, the folk who brought us The Hoxton, has taken over the old Eggbreak site on Uxbridge Street.
Starting with a dinner-only service, they'll be turning out their dishes "inspired by the communal eateries of Northern India and the classic British chop house.
So you can expect to find on the menu:
- Bhaji onion rings with smoked aubergine raita
- Tandoor chicken
- Amritsari crispy lamb chops
- Plus a selection of house-made naans, from green chilli, garlic and mature cheddar to tandoor roti.
There'll also be the Tandoor Chop House Mighty Thali as a group feast, which takes in the best bits from the main menu, accompanied by breads and a selection of dips and chutneys.
Over lockdown, they also experimented with a new offering, Tandoor Tacos, and that menu will also be available here. There'll be five paratha tacos to choose from including jackfruit tikka with charred aubergine raita, pickled carrot, swede and red onion.
