Riverside restaurant Le Pont de la Tour certainly understands how to deal with January. They've reworked part of their alpine terrace to incorporate a cheese room where they're offering a three-course fondue feast all this month.
So if your idea of the best way to conquer January blues is by ingesting cheese, cheese and more cheese, then you've come to the right place. The room - which may be technically outdoors, but with all those outdoor heaters and sheepskin throws you'd never know - is perfect for dinner a deux, but can also be booked for a group of four.
Book it and you'll have your own private waiter welcoming you with a glass of Moët & Chandon Champagne. The three-course menu features:
- Gratin of potato, leek and smoked Morteau sausage with a frisée salad
- Cheese fondue to share
- Mini tarte Tatin with lemon, thyme and caramel and a Brillat-Savarin cheesecake
