Bacchus N4 serves up wine and snacks on Stroud Green Road

Stroud Green Road, just north of Finsbury Park station, is a lovely hotchpotch of indie bars, coffee shops and restaurants, so we're glad to see the trend continuing with the arrival of new wine bar and shop Bacchus N4.

Owner Tolga used to run The Harvest deli in Crouch End and has been busy over the first two weeks of opening, honing the list here.

"This is my third shortlist," he told Hot Dinners. "I'm a bit picky. But generally people think good wine should be expensive - that's totally nonsense. You can find plenty of good tasting wines that are reasonably priced." True to his word, there's no glass costing more than £7 on the list and if you fancy something you see on the shelves, add on £6.50 to drink it in the bar or outside on one of their tables, catching the late afternoon and evening sunshine.

The list comes from all over the world, with an Italian and French focus.

Right now, they're just doing nibbles, olives and a cheese plate to go with the wine. Tolga's looking for a good supplier of cured meats and has plans to do charcuterie and cheese platters - keeping it simple.
