Jump the MCC waiting list by dining with top chefs at the Lord's Dining Club

lordsdining

It currently takes upwards of 29 years to reach the top of the membership waiting list at Lord's. But if you don't have that sort of staying power, you can enjoy the benefits of eating in the cricket club's Grade II* listed Pavilion as part of the Lord's Dining Club.

While the club may be all about tradition, the chefs they've chosen to partner with this year are all about innovation. So there's Tommy Banks from The Black Swan in Oldstead, Michael Caines from Lympstone Manor and Raymond Blanc of Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons all cooking for events.

All evenings kick off with a Nyetimber sparkling wine reception with a selection of MCC canapés in the Long Room Bar – or if you want to upgrade to the VIP package that'll happen in the famous Dressing Room - and then guests enjoy a four-course menu with matched wines in the historic surroundings of the Long Room finishing with drinks provided by Sipsmith. And, while you're eating, cricketing legend Angus Fraser will host a Q&A session looking at the chef's careers and the dishes they've made for that dinner.

  • Tommy Banks – Thursday 23 May
  • Michael Caines – Thursday 24 October
  • Raymond Blanc – Wednesday 27 November
