Summing it all up: The Pergola crowd know a thing or two about rooftops - now they've taken the next step by opening up a greenery-laden year-round spot on the roof of Olympia, and will be keeping punters warm and dry, without having to forgo the view, thanks to glass walls.
The low-down
Yet more rooftop antics from the Pergola crowd, with the news that the latest spot they’ve got their sights on is the top of Olympia London – and this time, it’ll be open all year round.
There’ll be three main restaurants setting up a permanent base there. That’s Patty & Bun with their ever-popular burgers, Passo who’ll be dishing up pizza and Claw, who’ll be serving seafood.
A separate cocktail bar will also be mixing up bespoke drinks.
There'll be space for 500 inside, with booths you can book in advance.
To offer us all a little respite from the elements without sacrificing those lovely Kensington views, they’ve undertaken the rather genius measure to encase the whole place in floor-to-ceiling glass walls, and drape them in greenery and foliage for a bit of extra atmosphere. Which means that we can relax, and enjoy views without the threat of (another) freak weather event.
