SUSHISAMBA London is fizzing with excitement (see what we did there?) over news of their new and exclusive partnership with Bruno Paillard Champagne. What the deal means is that SUSHISAMBA will now feature the largest selection of Bruno Paillard in the UK from the Maison de Champagne’s Library Collection.
The new partnership means there'll be nine Bruno Paillard Champagnes on SUSHISAMBA London’s list. Nine lovely vintage champagnes that, unless you're making City money, you'd better make sure someone else is picking up the bill as they range from £190 for the Brut Blanc de Blancs to £755 for a magnum of his 1990 Brut Blanc de Blancs Le Mesnil Grand Cru.
Happily for more impecunious London folk the restaurant also has some non-vintage Bruno Paillard by the glass including Bruno Paillard Brut Première Cuvée (£13.50 glass) and Bruno Paillard Brut Rosé Première Cuvée £108 (£18 glass).
To go with the champagne, SUSHISAMBA’s executive chef, Claudio Cardoso, has come up with some inventive dish pairings from his menus for each champagne. So with that top range champagne, how about Green bean tempura with black truffle aioli? Or Crispy yellowtail taquitos with avocado and roasted corn miso with the Blanc de Blancs.
