Nothing is left to waste at Neil Rankin's Soho restaurant devoted to specialist breed meat
Popular street food brisket purveyors have put down roots...
We love a good cause here at Hot Dinners and no cause is closer to our hearts than Action Against Hunger. So we're right behind an initiative from CAU Restaurants which is supporting the charity with all manner of BBQ food and fun. This is the second year the restaurant group's put on its #CAUnival festival and this year they're teaming up with barbecue top dog DJ BBQ.
DJ BBQ kicks off the month long festival with an evening of food, drink and music at CAU St
Looks like London's BBQ movement is moving out of the centre of town. Meatup is a new BBQ grill spot opening in Wandsworth.
They're promising British premium aged steaks, chargrilled lobster and shellfish on the menu, along with ribs, "killer burgers" and superfood salads. The person behind it is local resident, Sachin Kanna (previously of Raffles and Libertine).
They'll be open from brunch onwards to a late night bar with live music and DJs. Drinks-wise
You may have caught DJ/'cue obsessive Seth Troxler's BBQ popup Smokey Tails when it last turned up in Hackney Wick or Haggerston. But now Troxler's restaurant is settling down with its first permanent residence, at Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen.
The new 64 cover Smokey Tails restaurant will be open from lunch onwards (and brunch at the
Clearly it's a 'cue kind of day. Hot on the heels of our news that Bukowski Grill were opening their third restaurant, this time in Soho - comes news that Bodean's are opening their seventh place, in Covent Garden. They'll be taking over the space previously occupied by Russell Norman's Mishkin's.
And while the 60 seat restaurant will serve
It's been five years in the making, but in a few week's time, BBQ spot Bukowski Grill will open their biggest restaurant to date - this one in the heart of Soho. Their 70 seat D'arblay Street spot will be their third restaurant (following Boxpark in Shoreditch and a second one in Brixton Market).
Turns out to be a bit of a homecoming for chef/owner Robin Freeman who used to work down the road at Blacks. His third, all-day restaurant will kick off with weekday
If you've ever been a fan of the odd kebab or two, then this will definitely be for you. Taking over a warehouse of MC Motors in Dalston, this will give you the chance to try five of the best - with Turkish cocktails from Ruby's, Camden Town beers and a wine matching stall - plus music from Lucky Chip Soundsystem (and a 30 mins firework display too).

Summer changes are afoot at the Smoking Goat on Denmark Street. It's not that we think you will need much to attract you to the restaurant - which we still think has one of the best smoky aromas in town - but these pics by Paul Winch Furness will definitely do the job.
All of them are on the menu now and Ben Chapman tells us a little more about each of them...
So you've bought some meticulously sourced flat iron steak, have a very decent bottle of Californian red from your local vintner ready to drink for your BBQ, but all this is for naught if you haven't considered what you're actually cooking your food on. Thankfully The Ginger Pig have done the legwork for you. From next week they'll be selling an exclusive brand of charcoal created in partnership with The London Log Company.
The resulting Chef’s Blend is a mix of beech,
Another day, another new barbecue restaurant announced for London. But Austen's Smokehouse, which is set to grace Kensal Rise with its presence very soon, certainly has a few things going for it that no other 'cue place does. The first is who's running the show here - none other than BBQ maniac DJ Yoda. Hot Dinners grabbed some time with him to find out what a DJ is doing opening a restaurant.
What was the thinking behind
The latest barbecue joint to hit London really does add something different, with an middle eastern cooking touch throughout. We take a look.
