We're still a little way off from London's Michelin-starred restaurants being reopened, but in South Kensington Claude Bosi isn't hanging around. While his two Michelin-starred restaurant upstairs in the Michelin building will have to wait - right now he's concentrating on the downstairs oyster bar.

Late last year, we had been hearing two rumours - one that Claude Bosi of the recently closed Hibiscus was re-opening in South Kensington, and the second that Bibendum was about to land a big name chef. Then we discovered that the two stories were actually related, as Claude Bosi at Bibendum is on the way.

They've been popping up in Fitzrovia, Tower Bridge and Cannon Street, but now Levantine restaurant Ceru is getting ready to settle down. Co-founded by husband and wife team Barry and Patricia Hilton and inspired by their travels in the region, they're setting down with a permanent restaurant in South Kensington.

So this is interesting. Launceston Place has a hot new Chef Patron in the kitchen. When head chef Tim Allen left the restaurant last summer, we were wondering who would take over from him. Now we hear it's Raphael Francois, who's moved back to London from New York where he was Executive Chef at Le Cirque.

Well here's a pub opening we're pretty darned excited about. The Hour Glass pub is getting two new owners - Luke Mackay and David Turcan, who currently run Brompton Food Market. And if the food offering at the pub turns out to be anything like the stuff we've had from their deli then this might be worth crossing town for.
Luke has form for taking on pubs and turning them into something special, having already done this with well regarded country pub The Royal Oak
