This self-styled 'quirky' wine bar is run by a pair who met up while working at Jamie Oliver's Fifteen. They're super keen on making wine accessible and the food menu is a good mix of interesting small and large plates.

The team behind Dalston's Dan's wine bar is also behind Ken's in Exmouth Market, in a much a larger venue than its predecessor. here, there's a seasonal menu with Basque influences, featuring small plates and sharing dishes cooked on a Koro grill. As for drinks, the extensive wine selection focuses on smaller producers, offering both natural and classic wines.

Ploussard comes from the same team behind Other Side Fried but this is a very different affair. It's a neighbourhood wine bar and restaurant in Battersea with a seasonal small plates menu and a focus on natural wines. This is the third restaurant from the Noble Rot team (again teaming up with The Sportsman's Stephen Harris). A bigger space than their Soho restaurant, this boasts two bars which are very handy for popping for snacks and a glass or two of wine. The restaurant sees them bring a menu of "indulgence" and this also boasts one of their most extensive wine lists.

This is Brixton wine bar is from Robin and Sarah Gill, best known for restaurants like Darby's, Bermondsey Larder and Sorella. It's inspired by the Parisian bar scene and there's definitely a French vibe to the bar. Created from the tiniest of kitchens, the menu changes regularly and is a combination of snacks, small plates and a few larger dishes.

This Stoke Newington wine comes from Francis Roberts and Tom Beattie who also run the wine importers Beattie & Roberts - so you can be assured that a lot of attention is paid to the wine list. The food is just a draw, however. They've teamed up with charcutier George Jephson and chef Jamie Smart on the menu.

Humble Grape is a small wine bar chain that features over 400 sustainable wines across their locations, with a big focus on independent vineyards. The Canary Wharf wine bar boasts a waterfront location with a modern European menu.

This lovely wine bar and shop was an early adopter of this street behind Finsbury Park station way before it got all gussied up. There is a list of wines by the glass or you can just peruse the shelves to see what takes your fancy. The charcuterie and cheese boards are good accompaniments to all that wine.

Slightly off the beaten track in Canonbury is this small neighbourhood wine bar, serving up a changing seasonal European menu. The owners are Hugo Thurston and Vinny Burke, who were also behind Shoreditch's Jago.

Clarette took over an old pub in Marylebone and kept the pub aesthetic with a touch of Art Deco design. You'll find a wine bar downstairs with a more traditional bistro upstairs, alongside a French wine list.

This Fitzrovia loction is the second iteration of Carousel, which moved from its original Marylebone home. It continues to host regularly changing residencies, often previewing restaurants that are due to open in London. In addition, they also have a permanent wine bar up front with their own, seasonally changing menu.

Crispin is a huge hit in Spitalfields, and this is their Soho wine bar spin-off. Primarily all about the wine, the list takes the same approach to its selection as the original Crispin - so that's old-world primarily and small producers. Alongside that, there's an all-day snack menu and they also have monthly wine events, including tastings, food pairings and more.

Not to be confused with Shop Cuvee or Cave Cuvee, this is the original opening from the team who brought their enthusiasm for natural wine to the Highbury/Finsbury Park borders. Dishes change regularly but might include treats like a very good pate en croute or asparagus cassoulet.

Batonnage is a wine bar and shop in Belgravia with over 300 wines to either drink there or take home. There's a menu of Modern European small plates and cheese - and look out for guest chef takeovers.

Billed as a wine bar and kitchen, this diminutive Fitzrovian spot is inspired by "Continental enotecas and neighbourhood bistros" and has a small producer-focused wine list.

Taking over the space where Encant was, Lady of the Grapes is a wine bar, shop and restaurant focusing on wines created by female winemakers and has food by restaurateur Victor Garvey.
