  Jonny Lake and Isa Bal have opened Trivet in Bermondsey - and they've brought plenty of ex-Fat Duckers with them. We nipped over to London Bridge to check them out.

  Employing Irish talent and using Irish produce as inspiration, Richard Corrigan's new London opening challenges perceptions of what it means to be an Irish restaurant. We went down to London's Silicon Roundabout to try it out.

  Mayfair's first food hall is, as you might imagine, a glamorous affair. Set in a Grade I listed church it has everything from a crypt wine bar to pizzeria, roof terrace and grocery store. We went to check it out.

  The latest Market Hall has landed just off Oxford Street. It's their largest food court yet - we went down for a first look.

  Le Comptoir Robuchon in Mayfair aims to keep the legacy of Joel Robuchon alive. We head down to try it out (and their amazing pureed potato). 

• Test Driving the Laundry in Brixton - a classic building gets an impressive makeover

   The old Walton Lodge laundry building in Brixton finally has a new inhabitant, from the same people behind The New Zealand Wine Cellar in Pop Brixton. We head to Coldharbour Lane to visit The Laundry. 

• Test Driving Sam's Riverside - brasserie-style dining with a view

  Sam Harrison, the man behind Sam's Brasserie, has found a riverside home for his latest restaurant. We head to Hammersmith for a look. 

• Test Driving Lyon's Seafood and Wine Bar - worth making the trip to Crouch End

  

  Crouch End's dining scene has always been pretty interesting, but the arrival of a group with tonnes of restaurant experience to open this sustainable seafood and wine spot actually makes it worth crossing town to try.

• Test Driving Emile in Shoreditch - a restaurant residency that's definitely worth catching

  Popping up in Shoreditch for six months only, we head down to check out Emile - the restaurant from The Drapers Arms' Nick Gibson and chef Damian Clisby.

  He already has a Michelin star in Bristol and now Peter Sanchez-Iglesias has arrived in London, with the flagship restaurant Decimo at the top of The Standard hotel in King's Cross. We went down to check it out.

  Ben Tish has come to Fitzrovia with Norma, a Sicilian/Moorish restaurant that's been garnering a lot of praise. We head down to check it out for ourselves.

  We head up to the 14th floor of the Hoxton Southwark and fall hopelessly in love with this high rise seafood spot where the decor is pure Miami but the vibe is all London.

  We head over to Bermondsey to see how Tom Cenci's menu has transformed what used to be Village East into Loyal Tavern.
