27/10/16 - updated with soft launch details.
A new tapas joint is heading to Soho - the second Lobos Meat and Tapas from the same team who opened the original in Borough. Of that original, Marina O' Loughlin said: "I want to fall out of here post-midnight and not remember leaving, reeling from sherry and fine pork" - so we're expecting big things here.
Little is known about the new menu but expect a mix of new and

21/10/16 - updated with soft launch details.
Following up his successes at Smokehouse and Bad Egg, Neil Rankin is getting ready for his next venture, Temper. This time, he's setting up shop in Soho, and as expected you can expect a big focus on meat.
What we know so far is:
- It's in Soho, round the corner from Yauatcha
- There will be a big focus on meat (the name refers to the process of tempering meat) and
- Six Storeys of bohemian food and drink decadence to arrive in Soho
From the start of 2017, if you so desire, you’ll be able to dive back in time to a prohibition era-style dining experience spanning a whole building at Six Storeys. It’s the newest offering from the people who brought you Tanner & Co, the traditional restaurant in a highly untraditional gymnasium venue, and is similarly esoteric in style.
Based in the heart of Soho, Six Storeys’ food and drink
... - Gelupo launch a Michelin gelato range with Roux, Koffmann and more
We're pretty partial to a scoop or two of Gelupo ice-cream so we're quite taken with their latest wheeze. To tie in with the launch of the new Michelin guide they've come up with a special collaboration - seven gelato collaborations with seven Michelin-starred chefs. Each flavour ties in with the kind of dishes you'd find at their restaurants. And they are:
- ‘Dr Henderson’ (an unusual blend of Fernet-Branca and crème de menthe) from Fergus
- Test Driving the revamped Quo Vadis - compact yet still delivering great British food
There are some big changes afoot at one of Soho's oldest institutions. We make a return trip to Quo Vadis to see what's up.

The ex-Pachamama chef's evening menu will be seven courses, each from a different place that he's visited in the past few months. So that's a VERY enticing menu that

- The founder of Smoking Goat is opening Kiln in Soho
Updated 13/9/16 with opening date
We've been big fans of Smoking Goat since it opened so hearing that founder Ben Chapman was launching a new restaurant made us sit up and pay attention.
The place is described as a 'side of the road type restaurant' with a short grill menu and a daily noodle dish. It sounds like it'll be quite a scene too with a long stainless steel counter curving the length of the room in front of an open kitchen with the wood

Cocktail lovers should head downstairs to their basement bar which they've done out like an old southern saloon with a cocktail

There's no arguing that the move to the City has brought with it a very big change for Pitt Cue - and one that's very much for the better.
