5/10/20 - Updated with menu details
Some London restaurants took lockdown as an opportunity to refine or rework their offering and that's exactly what's happened with the Barrafina on Drury Lane. They have revealed that the restaurant is reopening as Barrafina Mariscos. As the name suggests, it'll now serve up an almost exclusively seafood menu - with a focus on fish from British and Spanish waters.

It's been a tumultuous few weeks for Robin and Sarah Gill, owners of The Dairy in Clapham. Three weeks ago they made the sad announcement that they were having to close their much-loved restaurant. It was a decision that was met with genuine sadness by its legions of fans.
At the time they certainly did hint that it wouldn't be the

The menu - continuing to be a no-waste affair - has been reconfigured a little and includes:
- ‘Siloaf’ & aged butter

Earlier this summer, it looked as though a longstanding part of Soho society was about to become another victim of the lockdown. Balans - a part of Soho since 1987, and a particular favourite of the area's LGBT community, put all of its restaurant sites on the market.
The announcement was met with horror by its fans, many of which counted on somewhere like Balans to be open in the wee small hours post-clubbing when they most needed sustenance.
