  The people behind Three Sheets are getting into the wine bar business with Top Cuvée in Highbury. Expect food from an ex-Naughty Piglets chef, a decent wine list to drink in or take away - and a few of their great cocktails too.

• Yopo is the new restaurant at the Mandrake, as they turn to South America for influence

  There's a brand new restaurant opening at the Mandrake Hotel in Fitzrovia. Yopo will match European cooking with South American influences.

• Gloria sees Big Mamma bring their Italian trattoria to London (via Paris)

  Pasticceria Marchesi is one of Italy's institutions, serving up pastries and more since 1824. Now they're coming to London with all the favourites from the Milan original intact, including their classic panettone. 

• We Are Vegan Everything vegan cafe opens in Hackney

  Comfortably riding the vegan wave, We Are Vegan Everything is a vegan cafe in Hackney from the same people behind Camden Market vegan bakery, Cupcakes and Shhht.

• Taiwan's Monga Fried Chicken are opening their first UK branch in London's Chinatown

  Popular Taiwanese fried chicken chain Monga have chosen London's Chinatown for their first European branch.

• Beer and Burger Store opens in King's Cross

  The third Burger and Beer store has come to King's Cross, so if you like both of those things - this is for you. And vegan burgers are on the menu too.

• Ooty Indian restaurant is taking over the Galvin Bistrot site - with an ex VBL chef in charge

  Taking the space that once held Galvin Bistrot De Luxe is Ooty Indian restaurant. It comes in three parts - a fine dining restaurant led by the ex head chef of Vineet Bhatia London, an underground cocktail bar and an all-day casual dining restaurant.
