- Casa Fofo sees ex-Pidgin chef open in Hackney
The former Head Chef of Pidgin has moved about half a mile north in Hackney to open this neighbourhood spot with tasting menus, natural wine list and snacks.
- BAO Borough has new bao buns, a grab and go hatch AND a karaoke room
BAO will be opening their third restaurant in Borough and this time, they're promising something a little different.
- Gold on Portobello Road will be a four floor food palace with a late bar
Notting Hill's food credentials are boosted by a restaurant and bar team that comes via the River Cafe and Soho House to take over this old pub. They'll be serving up sharing plates, cooked over fire or in a wood-burning oven.

It's all change for Boondocks near the Old Street roundabout - as it's about to be replaced by a new restaurant - Harlem Soul. But it's not a complete change, as it's all still run by Bea Vo's Soul Food Enterprises, which also runs Stax Diner in Carnaby and Butterscotch Bakery (and previously Boondocks).

- Robata on Old Compton Street is serving up Japanese izakaya dishes in Soho
Soho's latest opening is a Japanese izakaya-style spot. Robata, which officially opened its doors on Old Compton Street today, is a project from entrepreneur Sonny Huang whose family has two Chinese restaurants in Birmingham.
Sonny has teamed up with designers turnerbates Design & Architecture to come up with this Japanese pub serving up dishes cooked over the open robata grill. On the menu you'll find:
- Soft Shell Crab bao with spicy mayo, green
- Ben Tish and The Stafford team up for Norma, a Sicilian restaurant in Fitzrovia
Already working together on their hotel, Ben Tish (ex Salt Yard) and the Stafford Hotel are teaming up to create a new restaurant in Fitzrovia called Norma. Expect a Sicilian menu with Moorish influences.
