• Jason Atherton has gone into the theatre bar business with Pavlova's at The Palace Theatre in Victoria

  

  Back in the day, you'd be lucky to get a warm glass of Pinot Grigio waiting for you in a theatre bar during the interval. Now it's quite a different story. Over in Westminster, Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Other Palace has a restaurant by the Naughty Piglets crowd alongside a gin bar, and now the Victoria Palace is following suit.

• Legendary pub The KPH is back with food from Henry Harris and Ruairidh Summers

  The KPH (Kensington Park Hotel) has been pretty legendary in Ladbroke Grove for a while, with a big music following and the place of Tom Jones first London gig. Now it's being revived with Henry Harris and ex-St John chef Ruairidh Summers in charge of the food.

• Santa Nata opens two custard tart bakeries in Covent Garden

  This Soho restaurant has a Swiss-inspired menu that means quite a lot of tableside theatre will be involved - from Raclette dips to fondues and grill-your-own-food charbonnades.

• Pophams Bakery are bringing patisserie and pasta to Hackney's Richmond Road

  Expect all the carbs at Pophams Bakery's new Richmond Road space - with the open kitchen turning out viennoiserie by day and pasta by night.

• Moncks of Dover Street is a new Mayfair brasserie from the Park Chinois team

  This Mayfair brasserie comes from the same people who are behind Park Chinois. Expect a classic European brasserie in plush settings. 

• Jason Atherton is opening The Betterment at The Biltmore hotel in Mayfair
