  Soho's newest burger spot turns out to be a rather good place to head for a date

  Enough to drive fear into all but the hardiest of burger fanatics, this my friends is The Pit Burger. It's a guest item on the menu at Meat & Shake's three London smokehouses and is their biggest burger to date.

  If you're up for the challenge, it consists of two 6oz patties, smoked brisket, hot link sausages, turkey bacon, pulled beef rib, an onion ring, American cheese, cherry BBQ sauce and gravy and is £16.90

• Honest Burgers launch in Covent Garden, team up with Rib Man

  

  Burger purveyors Honest Burgers are continuing their gradual takeover of London with their latest opening - this time in Covent Garden.

• Honest Burgers hits Peckham with a burger giveaway

  

  Food hotspot Peckham is getting a new burger spot this weekend with Honest Burgers opening its doors on Saturday. The branch will serve all the usual menu, plus will be one of four Honest Burgers serving brunch at the weekends, featuring dishes like ‘Honest Brunch’, their version of the full English, as well as guacamole, Brindisa chorizo and fried egg on sourdough toast.

• McDonalds trial their new signature burgers in London - we went to try them out

  

  McDonalds are having a go with a new signature range of upmarket burgers and half of the places chosen nationwide to trial it are in London. • Sat Bains teams up with Shake Shack for a one day burger collaboration

  

  Now this is interesting - Shake Shack have brought in Michelin-starred chef Sat Bains for a burger collaboration. It's the first since they teamed up with Massimo Bottura this time last year, so we'd say this looks like becoming an annual tradition.
