    You may have been reading about White Lyan's revolutionary new 'wine' offering - the revolution being that they don't actually grapes to make it. Instead the team have been creating drinks based on taking the "flavour profile" of wine and deconstructing it, and then rebuilding it.

    Now they're planning a five day pop up "wine bar". Lyan Cellars will run run for five days next week at Lantana Cafe in Shoreditch. And they've brought in Doug McMaster of Brighton

    It was only a matter of time, we suppose, before London experienced its first pop-up devoted to the avocado. Avo-Brunch Pop-up is the brainchild of Meredith O’Shaughnessy. She's putting on a 5 course avocado inspired brunch menu, featuring avocado cocktails and a DJ for post brunch entertainment.

This month, Nick Gilkinson has chosen The Clerkenwell Kitchen - who specialise in organic and free-range produce - to host his 'gift-giving feast'.     This rather fine looking shellfish dish is the crab burger from Claw. And if just gazing at that photo makes you fancy it half as much as we do right now, you'll be wanting to know that the streetfood folk behind it have just taken residency at The Three Compasses in Dalston.

    From this week until the end of January they'll be serving up a mainly crab-based menu with all their crab coming from Start Bay in Devon.
